Heritage Day at Jordan Lake SRA is Saturday, October 1,   10 A.M. – 3 P.M. at White Oak Recreation Area.

Located on Hwy 64 just past the bridge.

Free fall family fun, good for all ages!

Celebrate the history and heritage of Chatham County and the Jordan Lake community past and present. Live music, cloggers, BBQ, make your own old fashioned crafts such as corn husk dolls, tin punch art, cane poles, pine needle painting and more. Exhibits and demonstrations such as local arrowheads, Native American life, flint knapping, farm life, tobacco crops, wildlife and natural resources, and more. Learn about life in the good ol’ days!

New this year… “Ask-The-Archaeologist”… bring your own artifacts and ask the experts to identify your finds. Special displays from the NC Archaeological Society too.
