Subject: Debt Hangover?

Chatham Chatlist #4073There is a revenue shortfall.  There is is no debt hangover for the rich.  If you are rich, then you are happy.  If not, then you  have a debt hangover thanks to our government (and the corporate interests who control them).  The rich get richer and the rest of us get poorer.

If you have been south of the border, then you might understand.  I pray we are not headed that way.  There needs to be more stimulus money and if we count on “trickle down†from the tax breaks then we will never break out of Recession.

What does that mean for Chatham County?

What taxes we pay should be well spent on the services we need.  That is where the debate is because the  ones that are getting poorer are the ones who services are being cut. (Not to mention making it harder for them to vote)
