Are you looking for a fun and educational experience for your children this summer? If so, they will enjoy the Chatham County 4-H Day Camps.  Two camps will be conducted by Chatham County 4-H. One week will be held at Northwest District Park in Silk Hope on June 13-17 and the second week will be held at White Oak Recreation Area at Jordan Lake on June 20-24, 2011.  The camp is open to boys and girls ages 6-12.

The camp fee is $90 per person.  Insurance, camp T-shirt, crafts/supplies, and lunch on Friday are included in the registration fee.  Limited scholarship money is available if financial need is expressed and verified.  Camper support is provided by United Way of Chatham County and by Triangle Community Foundation’s Send a Kid to CampTM program.  Activities will include fishing, forestry, science exploration, wildlife, agricultural awareness, environmental education, nutrition, fire safety, recreational activities and swimming.

Campers are grouped by age and rotate to all activities. 4-H membership is not required. Camp enrollment is limited each week to 55 campers.  Contact the 4-H office at 542-8202 for information and registration forms. You can also find this information and forms at http://chatham.ces.ncsu.edu/.
