I enjoy and look forward to N. A. Booko’s postings, and if I didn’t, I would find it no more difficult to scroll past than any posting about a subject that does not concern or interest me. As a writer and a writing instructor who is moving to Pittsboro largely because of the promise of its growing and vibrant arts community, I enjoy finding creative

work tucked among the notices about lost dogs, local politics, and church suppers. This eclectic nature is one of the aspects of the Chatlist that I find useful, uplifting, and completely charming.

Artists and writers are members of our community, too, Pete: members who, with faith and good will, continue to find the courage and generosity to put their work forward for our pleasure. They often do this without much support. They will have mine, and I hope that of other Pittsboro citizens.

As for your assertion that N.A. Booko’s reverie was ‘poorly wrote,’ I’m afraid I must apologize in advance for pointing out how utterly laughable I found that particular criticism.

Sincerely,

Melissa Delbridge
