Subject: Pittsboro Library
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned on the Chatlist or not but all of the lovely artwork, MANY new books, the mural in the childrens section, the 2 tile fireplaces and much, much more were paid for with funds raised by the Friends of the Pittsboro Library not our tax dollars. I met a nice gentleman at the library grand opening who was a member and he explained to me that the group had raised in the neighborhood of $800,000 for the new library.
