Subject: Right to sell your own belongings without apology?

As far as I know, once a person buys something either privately, or at an  auction, or whatever, it belongs to them and they have the right to sell it to  whomever and for however much they please.  Why should anyone have to  answer to you Rodger, or anyone else, to sell their own personal property?   What right do you have to even comment on such a thing?  “Wise stewardship  of Chatham-acquired funds – ?”  What kind of bunk is that??  So anyone  who earns money in Chatham County isn’t supposed to spend it outside of Chatham
County?  Or if they do they owe you an explanation?

Everyone better  cancel your vacations out of the country!  Rodger will call you out on the  chatlist for spending your Chatham-acquired funds unwisely!!  And why do  you assume they are trying to “appease” Chatham Arts?  In fact, Tamera and  Vernon have been long time supporters of Chatham Arts and have always been  extremely generous with their time and resources in support of Chatham Arts and  other causes in Chatham County.  (Long before you felt the need to take  them
to task).

They have always been willing to lend a hand or a  donation.  How dare you presume to know anything about them?  They  don’t have to appease anyone.  And as to what they plan to spend THEIR  money on that them receive from selling THEIR personal belongings, what damn  business is it of yours or anyone else’s?   Anyone who knows Tamera  and Vernon would know that accusing them of a strategic move to secure a high  position and servants is just pure crap.  You are talking about two good,  kind, giving, generous people
who have always given back to the community, and  you obviously don’t have a clue.  I understand Gene allows inflammatory and  degrading posts about public officials, a decision I don’t agree with but can at  least understand the public persona exception.  But to allow private  citizens to be attacked in this manner for no reason whatsoever simply because  they posted items for sale on his community chatlist is  unconscionable.

You owe your readers more than that, Gene.

We have  to put up with Gene’s private little war against the coalition if we want to  read his chatlist I guess, but this goes too far.  Shame on you Rodger and  Gene both.  Shameful.
