I’d like to add to Dr. Dyers suggestion for the oiled water under a heat lamp. Had no idea this would work for fleas, but we used this method several years ago when Japanese Hornets built a 3 foot home on our land, attached to our place…very scary! However, we used a piece of sheet metal set up horizontally behind the oil pan, so that when they flew toward the light, they hit the backdrop and fell into the oiled water.
Drastic, but did work great in a very frightening situation, as I’m highly allergic to all stinging things. Never heard of it being used for fleas, but see no reason why it shouldn’t work, I’d be curious to hear from anyone else who’s had to take serious steps to eliminate a problem using this way
