As a hospice volunteer you offer services that help a person maintain their dignity and self respect, live their final days pain-free, and receive high quality care that hospice can provide. The hospice volunteer may provide relief to a family member, be a listener, or share in activities such as reading, playing games, watching a movie, helping
with child care, or sitting quietly. The volunteer may assist the patient with personal care activities, such adjusting bed and covers, grocery shopping, and pickup of medications and supplies. Volunteers also my choose to do office work or apply talents in other creative ways.  It is a varied and changing picture in which patient and
volunteer can experience a meaningful, supportive relationship that serves as a reminder that “Life is precious. make the most of yours, and someone else’s.”
