Subject: I need advice on cell phones
I was a very content Alltel customer. Verizon has been difficult to deal with, they offered me an upgrade and only after I got the upgrade did I find out they charge a month in advance on the new phone even though I had an old one with Alltel. The changed my plan to one that I don’t like that doesn’t suit our families needs. They offered to change it back to a similar plan to the one I had with Alltel requiring me to upgrade two more phones eating up another $300 to $400.
I hate them, I absolutely hate Verizon.
I have not got the service I requested on my plan,I have been hit with all sorts of charges and fees and I am sick of them. I need some help !!
Any advice would be helpful.
My son upgraded his phone,, he had to work hard to replace the one he had. We made 5 trips to the store in town to get him a phone and got the run around. They finally got him the phone. After we paid for the phone I had to sign a new Verizon contract for two years. I wasn’t informed that my unlimited text was now reduced to 5000 a month and the calling features that Alltel provided that met his needs were no longer on his phone.
His girlfriend is on a different network and we were instructed by the store to put her on the friends and family plan so he could text her as much as he wanted. I did just that and guess what a surprise I got in the mail,, a $650 phone bill. Not only did the store not credit my last payment on my account they didn’t inform me there was an additional charge on the new phone.
They also misinformed us on the texting option. Your friends and family plan does not include unlimited text even if you add the number of the non Verizon friend. You have to pay extra for that. I got them to credit my last payment and after its all said and done I’m sitting on a $400 bill. I’m not happy with them,, I hate the run around I have got and in my opinion feel they are screwing all former Alltel customers.
I have made several trips to town and several phone calls trying to resolve the problem and every time it boils down to them wanting me to fork out a ton of money for a plan that isn’t as good as what I had with Alltel. I never had problems like this with Alltel,, can anyone help me please,, this aint funny !!!
I need a good cell phone provider for my area of Chatham, what’s available ?
