Subject: Big thanks from “Kudzu” folks!

Many many thanks to our community from the actors, musicians, artists, and technicians of the recent successful run of “Kudzu, a Southern Musical” at Chatham Mills.

Over 900 local folks supported local arts by being very appreciative audiences for our recent production!

I am very proud of the hardworking group of 40 people who put together a show that proved that you can attend entertaining  theatre without leaving home!

Central Carolina Community College theatre students and our many local volunteers did a professional job working as an ensemble producing this wonderful script written by locals Jack Herrick, Doug Marlette, and Bland Simpson.  We appreciate Tom Roberts and Chatham MIlls Development Corporation for allowing us to reside in the old mill space for our shows since our 2003-05 production of “Millworker.”

The spirit of our grassroots theatre endeavor is to allow everyone opportunities for growth in all aspects of theatre production and to build community through our audiences.
We are so happy to have accomplished both.

most graciously,
Ellen Bland, director
