Subject: Grading and road work in front of Chatham Marketplace
Is anyone else as amazed as I am at how long a crew of heavy equipment operators have been working on the grading along the road in front of Chatham Marketplace?
I could swear they have done and re-done the grading 3 times now. Any grading company worth its salt could do that entire job in less than a week, easy, and these guys have taken over a month, maybe even 2 now!! Are these our tax dollars at work?? Does anyone out there have information about what is going on and if it is county taxes at work?
I’m appalled at what appears to be a big waste of tax money during this time of economic upheaval…or at any time for that matter. To top it off, they cut up and then repaved a section of the road. It really seems these folks are paid by the hour.
