I’d like to extend an invitation to you involving something I’m very passionate about.  I am the Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Program Coordinator (MSAP) for the Chatham County Concerned Bikers Association (CC-CBA) and we are co-hosting a fundraiser this Monday evening in Pittsboro.  The MSAP program is designed to teach young drivers about motorcycle safety and how to share the road with other motorists.  This non-profit organization trains volunteers to attend the driver education classes throughout Chatham County in order to instill safety regarding motorcycles.  During the classroom setting in the local high schools, our presentation provides vital information that we hope will help save lives when these students become licensed drivers.   It’s quite rewarding to read the evaluations from each student and be proud of the positive impact this program is having in our community.  With more and more motorcycles on the highways and since I ride a motorcycle myself, I’m glad to be affiliated with and donate my time within such a worthy organization.

This is where you come in!

The CC-CBA and the Chatham Animal Rescue and Education (C.A.R.E.) in partnership with The General Store Cafe’ will hold it’s 5th Annual Burrito Bash on Monday, August 11, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

These two Chatham County non-profit organizations will donate all the proceeds towards animal rescue and education, as well as help fund motorcycle safety and education classes within our community.  A $12 donation will feed you a General Store dinner burrito with all the fixin’s, chips and salsa, live music provided by members of the Big Time Party Band, a Live and Silent Auction, chances at door prizes and give aways, as well as the opportunity to purchase $1.00 tickets for a 50/50 raffle!

Silent Auction begins at 6:00 p.m.  Silent Auction closes at 7:15 p.m.  Live Auction begins at 7:30 p.m.  Motorcycles will have a special area to show off all that chrome!

Your participation is needed to make this auction a success and  I certainly hope you’ll be able to make it.  The night will be a lot of fun and contribute to two outstanding services right here in Chatham County.  Hope to see you Monday night.
