……..now that’s a combo  lol

To Mark: Thank you for sharing your progress and ideas.  I hope you continue to do so – it’s so refreshing and wonderful to watch (read) it all unfold.

Weed killer:  A few people have been wondering about a natural weed killer, and my experience has found white vinegar to work the best, and as good or even better than RoundUp etc.  How to:  Can use straight or dilute with water – for extra punch, add a few drops or so of dish soap (helps it stick to foliage) and a pinch of salt (speeds the “burn”).   Best done on a sunny day with no rain predicted.  Caveat:  Not a great idea to apply anywhere that you may plant later.  I use it mostly on a gravel driveway and paths.

Cat litter:  An avid cat lover and horse owner, I was amazed at this recent find and felt nearly silly for not thinking of it.  I’m not comfortable passing on the name of the amazing person who uses this without his/her knowledge , but can say that there are many well-cared-for rescued felines involved that need loving homes…….So, this alternate to standard cat litter is pelleted horse feed (!).  And oh my does it work.  Much less mess, less tracking, it’s scoopable and it smells nice without that masking perfume-y garbage.  And more cost-effective in the long run (for now anyway).

All the best to The Chatlist.
