It never ceases to amaze me how people from “the City” move into nice rural areas, like Pittsboro, and then proceed to ruin them.
Consider this: “. . . residents will have access to big-city amenities with the charm of a small town.” That is what is commonly known as an oxymoron.
For crying out loud, people, if you want “big-city amenities” then, please, stay in the big-city. If you want rural living, with all the rural amenities, by all means, move to the country, but leave it alone! Don’t try to turn it into what you just left!
