It was our decision to live here, so we have to take the good and the bad

Mr. Dykers correctly pointed out that I stated I am not pro-growth.  I should not have added that to my post.  I know growth is inevitable, especially in this area…not what I would choose, but it was our decision to live here so we have to take the good and the bad.  I am, however firmly against unplanned, unjustified growth.

To put it succinctly, how do current residents benefit from a sudden influx of 7,500 (this number quoted by most news sources) workers to operate an auto manufacturing plant?  To be fair, Governor Cooper suggests having the plant nearby will negate the need for lots of current workers to commute into Raleigh (I guess).

I don’t have any idea how many people he feels can/will switch jobs to work at the plant.  They better or their commute into the city won’t be any easier.
