Join the Whack Attack on invasive species along the Haw River on September 18

The Friends of the Lower Haw State Natural area will be holding another invasive species removal day. We had so much fun and removed so much that we wanted to do it again! Hoping that you will join us this time.

However, (there always seems to be a however these days) the State of NC has established some new policies for this new Covid surge. The policies apply to our group since we are working on state property. Anyone who participates must be vaccinated in order to join this endeavor. That means you must bring confirmation of your vaccination when you come to the workday. If you do not have proof then you cannot work. Please bring your card. It was also reiterated to us that if social distancing cannot be maintained outside that masks must be worn regardless of vaccination status, though we think it is possible for us to work while maintaining social distancing.
