Many of us have addressed our left/right divides in Chatham county

My son, Thomas Andrew Dykers, was born in Chatham Hospital and has made a video explaining the history Mark was referring to yesterday. (goodthoughts.us/non-partisan-gov.html )

Many of us have addressed our left/right divides in this county. I learned a lot about how this became embedded. We are forced to divide ourselves into 2 tribes to register to vote with any hope of a voice.

Fortunately, in NC, if we are unaffiliated we can vote in either party primary. There are now more unaffiliated than either party. There was a post about a Democratic Party precinct meeting in Thursday’s list. The GOP is having a county convention soon. I am tempted to call for a convocation of “Unaffiliated”, Problem Solvers, No Labels, Center Voice to meet and see what response we have; Covid is the only current impediment; could let weather warm up a little and meet outdoors at my farm? Might pull in a few Reds and Blues too. Purple Party!
