Carmen is an excellent example for my post on anonymity! She has manufactured blanket assignments of racist intent and even conjured up a racial epithet that isn’t a racial epithet at all, and dismissed those who disagree because they surely must be evil.
You are not illustrating that anonymous people are wrong, but rather that your ideas are not capable of standing on their own, and your opponents must be removed from all conversations to maintain your fragile, false reality. How? By forcing them to reveal their identities so you can publicly shame them, of course. You must MAKE them evil people by any means necessary. No good person would listen to Literally Hitler(tm), after all. Only good, moral people should be allowed to talk here. Anyone who isn’t in line with Carmen’s beliefs is not good and moral.
She’s doing the exact same thing as when someone calls cops on a black person for walking down the street while being black: here’s an identity marker that I’ll use to assume evil, and I’m asking the authorities (Gene in this case) to stop THOSE PEOPLE from being allowed to be here.
In this regard, you’re not being racist, Carmen, but you are conducting yourself with the exact same ethics as a racist.
