I had an amazing lunch Sunday at this hidden gem tucked behind Lowe’s home improvement in Pittsboro. Compadres Tequila Lounge on the front of the building, which almost had me drive away, thinking it would be a loud bar atmosphere. So glad I went in. Upscale Mexican with high ceilings, soft lighting, warm decor, beautiful artwork and intimate tables. Super friendly staff. Fantastic outdoor space. And oh yeah, a huge tequila selection, although not my thing. I asked the waitress how long they’ve been here, assuming they’re new. Three years! What a shame that I missed it all this time. She said nobody knows they’re back here. Doing my part to support local and spread the word. Highly recommend checking them out.
