Chatham and COVID-19: combating Dating, Sex, and Promiscuity (Part 2)

Part 1 (Chatlist #6876) presented the Science and moral case against
non-household Dating, Sex, and Promiscuity:

Atop 3 Ws violations, the Science of viruses and sexual contact reveals more peril:

Via Zachary Horner, our Health Dept (CCPHD) warns here to heed the 3 Ws, and to avoid hugs, handshakes, elbow bumps, etc.  It must warn vigorously against dating/sexual dangers too.

There is more.   CCPHD currently helps PROMOTE non-household sexual
activity, dispensing contraception in Siler City:
https://www.chathamnc.org/services/health/clinical-community-health-services

This is ALARMING.  Coincidentally, County COVID rates are vastly higher in Siler City – where the County dispenses contraception.  The Science indicates the clinic helps spread COVID.  Further, promiscuous clientele could be SuperSpreaders, if so making the clinic itself a SuperSpreader.

CCCHD must reverse course at the clinic.  In a “new normal” of the 3 Ws, the County should protect public safety by counselling abstinence.  And require COVID safety counseling and testing, before dispensing any contraception.  Lest it continue imperiling public health, CONTRARY to its mission.

Concerned citizens, contact Health Director Zelek.  Some thoughts:
o  Through its media outlets, issue guidance and warnings
o  Reorient the clinic to discourage activities that spread COVID
o  Apply contact tracing to the clinic and clientele (subject to HIPAA)
o  Put “boots on ground” in Siler to assess why the high rate, versus
inventing vacuous abstract hypotheses.

Residents – Act!  Contact Zelek, and resist risky behavior.  Monitor children.  Together (but apart until it’s safe), we’ll beat this.  Next, Part 3, leadership and the future.
