CARE’s free spay and neuter campaign for Pit Bulls and Pit mixes extended through December 31

CARE (Chatham Animal Rescue and Education) is offering FREE spay and neuter surgeries for Pit Bulls or Pit Bull mixes through its Be Responsi-Bull campaign through December 31, 2020. The free spay or neuter surgeries include rabies and distemper vaccines, pain medication and microchipping (optional). Be Responsi-Bull is available to qualifying Chatham County residents. There is a limit of 3 dogs per household. Additional pets, cats or dogs, require a $20 copay per pet.

Apply online at chathamanimalrescue.org or call CARE at 919.542.5757 to have an application mailed to you. Applications must be postmarked no later than December 31st to be considered.

CARE is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that promotes responsible pet ownership by educating the community, providing targeted spay/neuter programs, and fostering homeless cats and dogs until they are placed in loving, permanent homes.

Be Responsi-Bull is funded by the Margaret T. Petrie Spaying and Neutering Foundation through CARE’s Lillie’s Fund.
