Good idea about early voting –
But noticed only the Republican headquarters is listed, anyone know where the Democratic Headquarters is at ?

A few additions to yesterday’s informative post on early voting:
While you are required to vote on your own precinct on Election Day, 11/3,
during early voting you can vote in any one of the six Chatham sites.
The open registration period that ends October 9 is a simpler one than
during early voting and I would recommend doing it now. During that time,
the Board of Elections uses either your NC Driver License number or the last
4 digits of your Social Security number to verify your residence in Chatham
and complete your registration. During the one-stop registration/voting
during early voting (not on lLection Day), the same process will require you
to provide picture ID and proof of residence (like a utility bill with name
and address on it).
Registration forms can be had at the Board of Elections Office, which is in
the shopping center on Thompson St., behind the Andys and Dominos
restaurants on East St. in Pittsboro, a mile east of the traffic circle.
Their phone is 919-545-8500.
Finally, the Chatham voter turnout will be similar to 2016, or 80%- highest
in the state. If you wait until the last four days of early voting, you will
encounter a long line. I encourage you to utilize the first five or six days
of early voting to avoid this.
Absentee ballots must be requested by 10/27, but I would suggest you apply
for one earlier. Applications can be mailed or brought personally to the
Board of Elections. Completed absentee ballots can be mailed in, delivered
personally- or dropped off during early voting at the voting site.
Absentee ballot requests and registration forms are also available at the
Republican headquarters on 56 Sanford Rd. in Pittsboro, next to The Mod
restaurant.
