It’s a peak week for meteors!

It’s a peak week for meteors!!  Don’t forget to turn off porch lights by 10 pm. to help out your neighbors!

Check when the moon is rising this week and try to get outside after 9pm and before moonrise.
Find an open spot without street lights, and put the night sky glare from Wake and Durham Counties to your back. Wait. This is the part most folks forget. Don’t look at headlights, flashlights or cell phone screens. Just wait.
In 5 minutes your eyes will start adjusting to the darkness. By 30 minutes you should be seeing LOTS of meteors streaking across the sky.
They can be green red blue orange!! Some will come from the North East …
but they really do come from every which – a – way!
