Subject: Towers along Haw River
The gauge for Bynum in on the other side of the river from Bynum and is a stationary “yard stick” on the side of the river there. That was once read by using the towers and a trolley to move across the river to access it. The gauge is now read electronically but is located at the same location. The Towers, I think, still supplies the electricity to it.
