Welcome lovers of live theater and television series!

Sweet Bee Theater, 18 A East Salisbury Street, Pittsboro
(behind the Sun Trust Bank)
$5 donation to support Center for the Arts an Sweet Bee Theater

Join us for an evening of drama and discussion as a cast of intrepid local actors bring to life the pilot episode for a prospective television series, LOVING THE ALIEN, written by local author Tim Bennett.

The series is loosely based on Bennett’s life and marriage to long-time psychotherapist  Sally Erickson. Diagnosed formally with Asperger’s (autism spectrum disorder) in 2015, Bennett’s life-long journey toward self-understanding and the workings of human relationships, serves as the inspiration for this funny, moving story.

Enjoy a reader’s theater* production of this funny, poignant, heart-full story. After the staged reading, participate, if you care to, in a  facilitated conversation between writer, actors and audience to let us know what moved you, what more you want to see, and how it might be made even better.
*(Actors use only vocal expression to help the audience understand the story rather than visual storytelling such as sets, costumes, intricate blocking, and movement.)
