Old trees vs new trees. Here’s the difference

Someone just asked me why it is so upsetting if it is agreed that new trees will be planted when old trees are cut down.

Picture this. Take a walk along any street that has old trees. Take a good look at those trees. Also get a feeling of the shade and lower temperature provided by those old trees.

Then drive to the new little restaurants in the new area across from the high school. Take a look at the trees that are outside of those new restaurants. Do the same there with those trees. Notice the shade provided, and get a feeling for the temperature there.

That is the difference.
