Subject: Piggy Wiggly closing
In response to the post on the PBO Pig closing, if you check the Piggly Wiggly website and Facebook page they state there are several reasons for closing it. They state several locations statewide are closing due to poor sales last year and other reasons, not Chatham Park coming.
The employee who said it was due to Chatham Park may have heard a rumor or just resents the park coming.
The Siler City one will remain open as it has strong sales.
Food Lion is growing because sales are strong. They are having a job fair in the Triangle for new locations and say they are hiring hundreds of people.
