Subject: Siler City residents reach buyout agreement with chicken plant
The residents were told in November that they would need to be out by May 7, 2018.
Earlier this month many residents went to Monday’s Siler City Board of Commissioners meeting to ask for support and assistance from the town.
On Monday, an agreement was reached that will increase the amount Mountaire Farms will pay for each unit in the mobile home park.
The new amount is $8,300, which is up from the previous amount of $5,000.
