Here is the link to the new marketing video on the Chatham-Siler Advanced Manufacturing site, http://chathamadvancedmanufacturing.com/   Pretty impressive. To date, there has been a large investment in this initiative, and the site is a pretty strong contender.

Coupled with the EDC multiple point strategy of incubating and expanding smaller industry as well, this site has great potential in lifting Chatham County economically – especially in western Chatham where the Great Recession hit Chatham County particularly hard.

But … we have a couple of Chatham County Commissioner candidates, Karen Howard and Mike Dasher, who are a bit cool to this investment. Don’t expect their support in keeping this initiative going. Howard/Dasher look only to northeast Chatham to win the election. If you do not live there, don’t expect any attention from them. Do your homework. Target your vote accordingly and appropriately.
