Subject: Acting Classes
The Phoenix Theatre Company will be offering acting classes for middle school and high school aged students beginning in February. These classes will be in conjunction with Siler City Parks and Recreation and will be held in the Earl Fitts Community Building in Siler City.
*Class Information:*
*Acting for High School* (six week course for students grades 9-12) Mondays, beginning February 8 from 6-7:30 pm
In this class, we will explore a variety of basic acting concepts, such as objective, circumstance, characterization, physicality, and vocalization through scripted and improvised work. No previous experience needed.
*Acting for Middle School* (six week course for students grades 5-8) Tuesdays, beginning February 9 from 6-7:30 pm
In this class, we will explore a variety of acting techniques, including freeze frames, thought taps, tableaux, etc., to create improvised work or expand on scripted work. No previous experience needed.
Cost for the six week course (9 hours of instruction) is $100 for Siler City residents and $115 for non-residents. Email for more information or call Siler City Parks and Recreation to sign up for the class.
