Subject: What do YOU think?

Did you read the post on Chatlist 5238 attacking a person who writes using his real name identifiable as Andrew George, identifiable as working at a local institution? What did you think, and especially how did you feel, when the attack was made by an unidentifiable person who calls himself Taylor Kish and uses the cover of anonymity to write constantly in the attack mode? Would you want your children to read these vituperous attacks? Would you recommend these posts to your friends? Some readers think and feel they are slimy attacks made by creatures who live under bridges. Others state these violate standards of fairness and integrity.

Is there a solution? Most feel that people should occasionally be able to write anonymously when they are afraid to write with their real names, especially when Kish types are free to attack them viciously. Possibly there might be a limit on the number of times people can write anonymously. I’m not anonymous. I have lots to do and limited time to write posts, but I do care about Chatham County. I am concerned about this type of attack on a real person who took the time to write his real opinions. I don’t know Andrew George. I do think and feel that somehow there should be some kind of limit on continued anonymous attacks. What do YOU think? I know Gene is the decider as it should be. But Gene wants to hear from his readers especially when they are polite, reasonable and identifiable.
