Taylor Kish,
Aren’t you the person who suggested that non-liberal Chatham citizens should volunteer to sit on the board that makes these decisions? I was looking forward to hearing about your experience on the board. I was hoping that you would come away with a less cynical attitude after seeing how the system works. [Yes, I believe in miracles.] Or maybe you volunteered but weren’t “hand picked”. AFAIK, these meetings are open to the public. I’m not worried about how the county uses our tax money, but since you are, maybe you could observe a few of the meetings and report back to the Chatlist.

That bothers me. Should the county government give OUR money back to us if they took too much with unrealistically high property “values” and let US decide which charities we support?
