Subject: Food Pantry in Moncure

God’s Helping Hands Food Pantry in Moncure is in need of non-perishable food (such as canned goods, rice, beans) and/or monetary donations. This food pantry has been operating in southeast Chatham County for 15 years and provides food for approximately 65 families. It is associated with the NC Food Bank.

The food pantry is open the second and fourth Saturdays of the month at Liberty Chapel Church’s annex building in Moncure. For more information, call 919-599-8337.

Monetary donations go a long way when shopping at the NC Food Bank, where the food is sold to the food pantry for 18 cents a pound. So, a $10.00 donation will buy 55 pounds of food! 100% of all money donated goes toward purchasing food for the food pantry. Please send monetary donations to God’s Helping Hands Food Pantry, 5097 Old US 1, New Hill, NC 27562. We will gladly send you an in-kind receipt if requested.

Food can be dropped off at the food pantry on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from 10:30AM-1:30PM or call 919-599-8336 to make other arrangements.

Thank you.
