Subject: coyotes
There have been packs of coyotes on the Mt. Gilead Ch. Rd. for a couple of years – I have heard them close to my house at night on a couple of occasions, my neighbor shoots them when they come close to his horses…. rumor has it — with pressure from the insurance companies, the coyotes were brought in to populate the area to thin out the deer herds that were causing so many auto accidents. — incidentally, I believe the deer were brought in by the Corp of engineers when the lake was impounded — for whatever reason….??
