Christmas Gifts done easy!

A Reminder about the annual fund raiser for the Siler City Rotary Bazaar to support Boys and Girls Club, multiple scholarships, Community Pharmacy and many other community activities.

We kick off with a BarBQ dinner, eat in or take out and $7 not only buys dinner and a drink but also a chance at the $1000 Pot of Gold at the end of the auction. Door prizes thoughout the auction. A bake sale. And raffle tickets for a 51inch TV, an Apple Ipad mini 16GB, and one other prize I forget, oh yeah, a hunting/camping knife. 5 tickets for $20 or $5 for one.

All y’all from the NE part of the county and Pittsboro make an excursion over to Siler City for the western classic social event of the year. (The new one is the Rotary Spring Money Raffle! A really fun party to break out of Winter!) AND you can contribute to lots of worthy causes (we are a service organization). All the work is donated by Rotarians and many friends who give auction items and pitch in to help serve the dinner and put on the party.. Abdul Chaudry is loaning his refrigerated truck to keep drinks cold.

Just yesterday S&J Plumbing gave a ‘plumbers friend’ and garden hose; Black Tractor, Baird Sales, Siler City Automotive gave gift certificates, and Siler City Monument Co. two vases, and that is just my little part of the list. There were all sorts of boxes in the window at the former hardware store next to ACE Hdw. across from the post office in the ‘old’ downtown.

Christmas Gifts done easy! Ride over and take a look. Maybe cruise out to the Italian Kitchen restaurant on old 421 N and ask for French Chicken salad with Mr. Melgar’s special Italian dressing. It’s not on the menu, but he makes it up special if you ask. Nothing tastier even at Fearington Restaurant! And a bottle of Heineken’s in a cold glass.
