Liberal Caroline Siverson claims Jeff Starkweather has nothing to do with Chatham Democratic candidates

Fact Guy is veering far from the facts and into the all-too-familiar Chatlist territory of wild speculation. Rather than evaluate the Democratic candidates on their own merits, he chooses to pick up Heather Johnson’s obsession with Jeffrey Starkweather, imagining behind-the-scenes machinations that are simply not real. And his so-called paraphrasing of President Obama in this context is obviously delusional.

Furthermore, he ignores the fact that Siler City officials are in charge of the mega site, not the county Board of Commissioners. And it is important to point out that there is no auto manufacturer knocking on our door today, but if one comes calling with desirable and much-needed jobs at some point in the future, any Board will support it, regardless of whether it’s controlled by Democrats or Republicans.

An objective and truly fact-based assessment of the Democratic candidates Hales, Crawford, and Howard disputes the false characterizations from Fact Guy, Heather Johnson, and other posters who do not appear interested in the truth. Rather, they seem to prefer to reconstruct worn out, made-up scenarios they hope will reflect poorly on Democrats.

Let’s quit the deliberate distortions and personal attacks. Let’s stick to the facts so that Chatlist readers can make educated and informed decisions in the voting booth.
