I wanted to thank you for your wonderful and refreshing post. It was so uplifting to read and it echos my feelings and those of anyone else who believes in love instead of hate.
Here on the chatlist it makes me cringe when I see people attacking each other. Where has the empathy gone? Where is the love for our fellow humans?
Anyway, Al I commend you for thinking of those who may not be as fortunate as you. When my daughter Keara was murdered and I lost my job I was so impressed with the generosity of this community including you and Daphne. People I didn’t even know sent me money and that is how I survived until I was able to work again.That is the community I remember and when I recently needed a petsitter at the last minute so many of you responded. That is the community that I know and love.
I know that people have their own views about lots of things. But what I don’t understand is why different opinions can’t be expressed in a civil way.You may find that others are more likely to listen when they are not being attacked.
