Librarians have been, and are, some of my favorite people in the world. So I want to give a big THANK YOU!! to Jennifer Gillis, who has stepped down as our community’s head librarian after years of service , especially for transitioning us into the beautiful facility we now enjoy. Her quiet and competent presence could be felt in the welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable staff she led, in the constantly updated collection, and in her responsiveness to community needs and requests. May she enjoy her well-deserved retirement!
I also want to welcome Susan Clayton (I believe that is her name) in filling that position, and congratulate whomever is in charge of hiring for such a quick and smooth handing over of the reins. Susan, may you enjoy our beautiful library, your wonderful staff, and this great community!
