Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham County 9/11 First Responders Memorial Foundation Corporation began the installation of the donated 9/11 artifact from the World Trade Center tragedy at the memorial site in Pittsboro on Saturday morning, May 10.

The beam from the World Trade Center is the centerpiece of the Chatham County 9/11 First Responders Memorial, located on US Highway 15/501 just south of the traffic circle in Pittsboro across from the Pittsboro Fire Department. The memorial will honor all fallen first responders.
