The Siler City Farmers’ Market started the 2014 season with a .500 average!  Opening day (April 12) was a beautiful spring day, with 10 vendors and a great turn out of customers.  Last Saturday was cold, windy and misty.  Three vendors braved the weather but thankfully a group of loyal customers did also.  This week proises to be much better weatherwise; the asparugus is in (barring some unforseen disaster) and  other produce has had time to grow..

Joan Thompson is making more of her famous bread and butter pickles and will be there with her homemade breads, jams & jellies and an assortment of cookies.  She will also have an assortment of goat cheeses.

Pam will be bringing her soap backl since it won’t get rained on this time as well as her goat milk bath products.

Phil Dark will be bringing an assortment of his landscaping plants.

Taste Like More…Cakes By Diane will be there with her mouthwatering assortment of brownies, cakes and whatever is new this week.

The hens are still laying eggs for the market, tomatoes as well as tomato plants will be present.  So, all in all, life is good, the weather will be wonderful, the products assorted and wonderful.

Come out and join us at 118 West Second Street in Siler City from 9:30-1:00 every Saturday.
