Bring a child to Ebenezer and build a Bluebird House

The bluebirds are singing and looking for great places to build nests and hatch their eggs. What better project for a child than to build a bluebird house with the help of a parent, neighbor or adult friend? Ebenezer United Methodist Church near Jordan Lake is offering just that project on April 5 beginning at 10 AM in the church’s picnic shelter.

Bluebird house kits will be provided that you and your child (or children) can assemble for take-home the very same day; only simple nailing and sanding will be required to make a wonderful memory or a potential Mother’s Day gift. Bring a small hammer if you have one. You’re welcome to bring as many children as you want to supervise and assist. So that we can be sure we have a kit for every child, please RSVP by March 29th, letting us know how many kids you’re  bringing. A hotdog lunch will be provided beginning at 11 AM and the playground will be open!

Ebenezer UMC is easy to get to. Our Chatham County Church is located at 724 Beaver Creek Road, Apex ( ¾ mile south of the Wilsonville traffic light on US64, just slightly east of Jordan Lake).

Visit www.churchbythelake.org to learn more about us and for a link to a map.

A donation of $10 per birdhouse is suggested. All funds collected above the materials cost will be given to CORA, the Chatham County Food Pantry in Pittsboro.  RSVP to Bob or Sandy Gabor by email or phone at  or  or 919-542-5951.
