Subject: Increased hours for ACA health insurance enrollment at Chatham libraries.
As the enrollment deadline of March 31st approaches, we have increased the hours of free enrollment assistance at local libraries. The assistance is provided by Certified Application Counselors ( CACs), who are trained to guide people in going through the online process of enrolling in quality affordable health insurance through the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
The new hours are:
Chatham Community Library, Pittsboro
Every Thursday, 12 noon – 3 PM and 5 PM – 7:45 PM
Every Saturday, 9AM – 4 PM
Wren Memorial Library, Siler City
Every Monday, 4 PM – 7:45 PM
Goldston Library, Goldston
Every Wednesday, 10 AM – 12 Noon
Every Saturday, 10 AM – 12 Noon
You may walk in to be seen, or make an appointment (sign up at the Pittsboro library or call our numbers at the bottom of this announcement).
We are offering this free assistance through March 31st, which is the deadline for enrollment. Open enrollment will not be available again until November 15, 2014.
You may also enroll online yourself at healthcare.gov (cuidadodesalud.gov), or by phone at 800-318-2596 (multiple languages available). In-person assistance is also available at Chatham Legal Aid (919-542-0475), at the Community Health Centers (919-357-8216) in Moncure and Siler City, and at the Chapel Hill Public Library (919-968-2777).
Our group, Chatham Cares for Health, is anxious to help any and all persons who would like assistance in obtaining affordable health insurance. Please come in or make an appointment to see us, and call us if you have questions.
