Subject: Calling all concerned citizens
On February 24 there will be very interesting things going on at the Pittsboro Town Commissioners meetings. On the 24th at the Historical Courthouse starting at 7:00 p.m., the Lawrence Group, which was hired by the town, will be presenting their findings of their study. I think people should be there to hear their findings first hand.
Everyone who has an opinion about Chatham Park should be there.
I’m thinking those of us who would like to move forward with Chatham Park should wear green to represent the GO-group to move forward wisely, using all the powers that the town possesses to be sure this park is the best of the best. Wear green for the beautiful green-ways and parks Chatham Park has outlined, green for the bike trails, green for the fuel people of Chatham will be saving and reducing our carbon footprint by having a shorter commute to work, green for the money we will be saving traveling shorter distances for our entertainment, green for the money we will be spending in Chatham rather than surrounding counties, green for the money small businesses will be making to support the employees of the 28 restaurants in Pittsboro, 9 fitness centers and yoga classes, 10 barber shops/salons/spas, just to name a few, who must have people walk through their doors to continue their business.
The support from everyone has been overwhelming. I have had a couple of negative comments but they didn’t hurt so much. We have been extremely busy these past two weeks breaking all sales records and I truly appreciate, from the bottom of my heart, all of the well-wishers, the “Yay Donna” people, the thumbs up I was getting while cooking in the kitchen, the e-mails, new customers and old customers coming to show their support, people stopping me on the street to acknowledge that they feel exactly the same way as I do and were so excited that someone finally put it out there. YAY Chatham!
BTW- I’m not afraid of Carrabbas. 🙂
