Subject: Ok, I will aim for fairness. . .
To be fair, I accept some of those who have signed on with PittsboroMatters feel like they are being Paul(Paulette) Revere; alerting Chatlist Chathamites to the dangers of Preston Development and Chatham Park. They FEEL they are speaking up for what is good in Chatham County.
There. That was nice, right?
They are wrong, however.
I had to look up the current definition of “troll”. I am so old I was still mapped onto a fairy tale being that lives under a bridge that eats billy goats. Is calling me a “troll” namecalling? Or are you describing how my behavior is showing up to you? If I have to look it up to understand, I think you called me a name. If I use a “label” or a word you don’t like, but accurately describe how your behavior shows up in my world, I don’t think that is calling you a name.
I may be wrong but I can only find one example you may say I called a name when I described how liberals operate. But I did not call any ONE individual a liberal. I immediately described liberal behavior. So I don’t think that is namecalling and reason for censorship.
Let’s be real. PittsboroMatters came on the scene heralding the need to, “Slow Down. Rethink Chatham Park.” And that was just the beginning. That put the premises for PittsboroMatters in the public forum for discussion. NOT TAYLOR KISH. The goals became subject for public discussion when the website was launched. When your members posted comments, the comments became subject for public discussion. The PittsboroMatters website and several members began the discussion using inflammatory words like greedy, MONEY, etc. when I don’t think ANYONE knows these developers as individuals. Why is it okay to vilify Preston Development but NOT okay to point out PittsboroMatters hypocrisy, hatefulness, irrationality? Why is it name calling to give specific examples of these behaviors in Pittsboro Matters members when NO SPECIFIC examples have been provided to prove Preston Development deserves the “high tech lynching” they are getting from PittsboroMatters? Why is simply NOT agreeing with PittsboroMatters deserving my own “high tech lynching”?
I don’t want the Chatham Park discussion to be about me. It should be about PittsboroMatters and Chatham Park.
IF ANYONE CAN POINT OUT one of my posts where I called someone a name, I will apologize. Someone objected to my use of the word, “ugly” but I promise that was behavior, NOT appearance. (I am on the oops side of ugly myself.) A lawyer objected to my use of the word, “stupid”. Again, I was pointing out her behavior. (There is a billboard out now reading, “Text + Drive = Stupid”) If you do stupid things, someone should tell you. Someone telling me I was behaving stupidly probably saved my life.
Let’s not be too cute by half. PittsboroMatters wants to “lynch” ME just like Preston Development. They will attack YOU personally if you do not agree with them. THAT IS HOW LIBERALS OPERATE. THAT is why the term “troll” came into internet use.
