On February 6th, join the Abundance Foundation at the Fearrington Barn for *Amuse Bouche* <http://abundancefoundation.org/pre-conference-amuse-bouche>, where a panel of experts will each give their perspectives on carbon and climate and the state of our world. The event will be hosted by *Frank Stasio of WUNC’s “The State of Things” <http://abundancefoundation.org/pre-conference-amuse-bouche>* and the panel will include *Albert Bates <http://abundancefoundation.org/amuse-bouche-bios>*(author of The Biochar Solution, The Post Petroleum Survival Guide and Cookbook, and Climate in Crisis and cofounder of Global Village Institute for Appropriate Technology), as well as *Liane Salgado <http://abundancefoundation.org/amuse-bouche-bios>*, *Michiel Doorn <http://abundancefoundation.org/amuse-bouche-bios>* and *Lyle Estill <http://abundancefoundation.org/amuse-bouche-bios>*. The event will include appetizers, drinks, and New Orleans Jazz from the Decatur Street Beat Band.

This event is in conjunction with the* 2nd Annual Farming Adaptation Conference <http://abundancefoundation.org/events/farming-strategies-in-todays-changing-climate>* , which educates and empowers North Carolina farmers on the impacts of climate change on agriculture, climate risk and variability on crops and livestock, and strategies for adapting and reducing vulnerabilities for today and five to ten years down the road.

February 7th, 8 AM-4 PM at Central Carolina Community College in Pittsboro (Chatham County)

$25 for farmers, students and seniors until January 20 ($35 after); $35 for non-farmers and researchers until January 31  ($45 after). A local lunch is included.
