It is interesting to have served as a local official and become disconnected from the constant information flow once your term as ended.
When you begin office it’s akin to drinking from a fire hose and when you are out of office the flow becomes a trickle.
Fortunately over the years the Town has worked on providing more information to the public via the internet as well as documents available in the lobby at Town Hall.

Two items of recent interest that deserve attention.
1. The Town’s audit through fiscal year 2012/2013 came back and was very positive. Kudos to all of the leaders and staff in the past and present who contributed to the continued success and financial health of the Town.
2. The Pittsboro ABC store made its last payment for the FY ending in 2013, which brought its contributions to approximately $32,000 for the past year. Again, kudos to the the leaders and staff of the Town and the ABC Board, especially its chair Jim Nass, who have worked diligently to deliver a good product to the community and financial support to the Town.
Let’s hope 2014 is even better than 2013.
