Happy New Year from HRCA!  It is already time to gear up for another school year, too!  Our 2014-15 admissions season is underway, opening to the general public on February 1.

We are pleased to host several upcoming Open House events for prospective families and community supporters.  Please join us on any of the following dates:

Friday, January 17 (daytime):  8:30 AM-12:30 PM
Thursday, February 6 (evening):  5:30-7:30 PM
Friday, February 7 (daytime):  8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Friday, March 7 (daytime):  8:30 AM-12:30 PM

This is an excellent way to witness a classical education in action!

Now in its sixth school year, HRCA now operates from the leased facilities of Emmaus Baptist Church, 2428 Silk Hope Gum Springs Road in Pittsboro.  We are delighted to have larger classrooms, more teaching space (art room, science room, and school library), a full size gymnasium, student lockers, a large playground, and a soccer field.  HRCA currently serves grades Junior Kindergarten-8th grade.  Our vision is to continue adding one grade per year until we fully offer all 3 levels of a classical education: Grammar (JK-6), Logic (grades 7-9), and Rhetoric (10-12).

HRCA is a non-profit, private Christian school currently represented by 30+ churches across Chatham, Orange, Lee, and Wake Counties!  Our school was founded by a group of parents and modeled after nationally recognized schools such as Rockbridge Academy in Maryland, The Ambrose School and Logos School both in Idaho, and within closer proximity, Cary Christian School.

Personalized tours, including classroom observation times, can also be scheduled by contacting the school office at 533-4139.  Additional information is available on the school’s web site, www.hawriverchristian.org.
