Jane Forbes believes Maryphyllis is so on point.  Somebody should have told Jane Forbes long ago.

The way I understand it (I have been wrong before), Jane Forbes is a lawyer living in The Preserve, a planned, gated subdivision.  Her story of Franklin, Tennessee growing with the wave of the Baby Boom shows two things to me.  1.  She believes the world began with her parents’ and, 2. She MUST have been a lawyer for the public sector (or publicly funded non-profit).  Now that she has her high dollar house in a gated community she wants to stop all other development.

Did you notice she posts on the Chatlist for a dead dog to be removed BY SOMEONE ELSE?  Ms. Forbes did not have the decency to remove the dead dog herself.  Liberals ALWAYS expect someone else to DO SOMETHING AND with OTHER PEOPLES’ MONEY.  But because Ms. Forbes CARES, that is all that is required of her.

Dr. Sonny Keisler, environment protector and buddies with Randy Voller to grab publicly funded grant money.  They don’t use their OWN money.  They get grants of taxpayer money.

Dr. Sonny Keisler worked his entire career in the public sector as a university professor teaching public administration with a focus on environmental policy.  Policy to empower the likes of the EPA at the expense of individuals like you and me and private sector businesses all in the name of “protecting our natural resources”.

Dr. Keisler’s highly protected public sector salary made it possible for him to become a wealthy land speculator and developer of lavishly profitable, high-end subdivisions like Montterrane, Eagles Ridge, and nearly 100 acres on the shores of the Rocky River called Falling Waters.

Dr. Keisler has turned a profit on almost half the Falling Waters subdivision with the most profitable portions at the river’s edge.  Dr. Keisler lives on a property costing more than a million dollars yet he uses the tax laws to avoid taxes (as does everyone else who can).  His real estate business owns the land his personal home sits on so he can hide expenses and reduce his tax liability.  It is legal and I do not fault him.  I point this out to help us understand Dr. Keisler has high standards for OTHERS (like Preston Development) while he does not hold himself to those same standards.  Has Dr. Keisler used HIS OWN money to protect the river banks along HIS property from erosion?

Dr. Keisler stands to benefit directly from the work of several non-profit organizations devoted to crushing other developers under the weight of EPA rules and regulations.  They suck money from grants including Chatham County and the EPA to attack OTHER developers in the name of cleaning the river where he owns property.

NONE of Dr. Keisler’s high end developments gave ANY land for public recreation, or low income housing, etc.  Dr. Keisler’s house does not use solar panels or any LEEDS technologies.  He has NEVER given sway in HIS developments to “mitigate global warming” he expects will increase by 7.2 degrees in our lifetime!  He grew up riding the Baby Boom wave in the public sector and he wants to raise Chatham County taxes to pay for cleaning up Rocky River to improve his property values.  He plays the real estate developer game using all the tricks and loopholes he tells us to fear from OTHER developers.
