Subject: Sweepstakes
The sweepstakes business is still open at Cole Park Plaza and I thought the state legislature and supreme court had ruled them illegal. Several calls to the sheriff’s office over the past 6 months reveled that they have to have a court order to shut them down and that the district attorney was still “studying” the situation. Since Orange County shares the same DA, Mr. Jim Woodall, how is it that their sheriff has been shutting them down and seizing assets and Chatham County cannot? Just asking.
