I personally would dearly LOVE to have the new Ag Center in Siler City, BUT Sam Groce tells me that most of the folks that will be using the center are closer to Pittsboro and that interaction with other county agencies will be much easier there.
I suggested to him several months ago that they keep a log of visitors to the present facility and where they came from so we could document the geographical distribution of visitors and whether it would be shorter for them to have gone to a location in Siler City. The shortest trip for the most people should prevail, plus so much has already been accomplished for the Pittsboro site that it should prevail without a measurably large benefit to a Siler City location.
